| During most of the Summer, Sally North's acclaimed Wild Thyme Cottage Museum is at Bircham. |
|
| The museum depicts a farm labourer's cottage around 1900. It is highly evocative of a vanished way of life which nevertheless many still remember. |
|
| Sally North is frequently there (mostly on Sundays) playing the role of 'Mrs Ward'. She regales visitors with accounts of her hardship coupled with her husband's drinking and poaching. However she is sometimes cheered by a visit from her genteel sister Rose or neighbour 'Mrs Perk' |
|
| Mrs Ward will certainly be at Bircham for the 'Country Days' (May 30th & 31st) and for her 'Annual Hiring Fair' (date in August to be decided - see Events). |
